RAMADAN FOOD PARCEL FOR A FAMILY
FROM £35

Give the gift of feeding the fasting. “A man is not a believer who fills his stomach while his neighbour is hungry.” Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W)

We have two options to help families during Ramadan.

For £35 – This feed’s a family at iftar for the whole month.

For £75 – This offers more food to a family for the entire month.

Our Ramadan feed the fasting appeal’s specific objective is to deliver food packs to many deserving families in Faisalabad, Pakistan, focusing on those with disabled members who are particularly affected by the economic strain. Our partners on the ground will identify needy families, prepare food packs containing essential items, and distribute them efficiently. A dedicated team will also deliver food packs to immobile disabled families.

Your support can bring hope and practical help to the lives of many during Ramadan.

Ramadan is the month that Muslims all over the world count down to each year. It is one of the most important times of the year, and a time that brings huge reward. It is a month focusing on devotion, mercy and the chance to draw closer to Allah (swt). It is the perfect time for us to sincerely seek forgiveness, reflect on our own blessings and give to those in need. It is a time for us to reflect on how fortunate and blessed we really are, and to experience a fraction of the suffering some of our brothers and sisters living in impoverished communities around the world.

Zakat

Zakat is a mandatory process for Muslims and is regarded as a form of worship. Giving away money to the poor is said to purify yearly earnings that are over and above what is required to provide the essential needs of a person or family.

Zakat is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, the others being declaration of faith, prayer, fasting during Ramadan, and the Hajj pilgrimage. It is  compulsory procedure for Muslims earning above a certain threshold and should not be confused with Sadaqah, the act of voluntarily giving charitable gifts out of kindness or generosity.
